Visit with Dr. C yesterday

I had a visit with Dr. C yesterday because of these dam charlie horses. He took my off the BC immediately, thankfully! Checked my platelet count and is sending me for an ultrasound of my legs. Hopefully his office will call me when the slip is ready for me to pick up. Of course then I have to get a referral. This referral stuff in such a PITA!

Dr. C also has me checking my sugars 4 times a day again in preparation of getting pregnant. With any luck I can see what foods are affecting me and can cut them back or out of my diet all together. I'm hoping to not have to take insulin this time at all.

I go back in a week for to review how my sugars are and to review the bloodwork and labwork.

Bounce U Bday Party

We had the best time at the Bounce U bday party for Sam, Nathan, and Jesse this afternoon. Everything was perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything better!

I posted gobs and gobs of pictures on facebook and am currently posting some videos. I hope to have links to all of them (to the right under "Pictures") within the next day or so.

I'll also have a link to the Halloween pictures soon!

Lost in Translation ..... maybe just lost

I ordered lunch today and the person that sits across the hall from the door usually answers it. So I sent him an email saying "Hey, I ordered lunch from Johnny D's. When it gets here can you let me know?". He replied "Thanks anyway, I brought my lunch today!"

Am I wrong for laughing?

Amber's trying to kill me

Yesterday afternoon I was searching for something sweet, preferably chocolate. Amber said she had some hostess 100 calorie cakes if I wanted some. PERFECT I thought!

Then Amber looked at the date and noticed they were a month past the sell by date. I thought it can't be that bad and decided I would eat one. Well since she was going to throw the rest away she offered to give them to me. I took them with the intention of giving them to Chuck. He eats that stuff well past the date all the time.

Back at my desk I'm all excited because I have these three mini cupcakes with chocolate icing sitting in front of me! I open one end of the package and I'm about to grab this delicious looking cupcake when.............IT HAD GREEN FUZZIES ALL OVER IT!

YUK YUK YUK!

I quickly dumped it and all the others in the trash. And of course, proceeded to accuse Amber of trying to kill me! LOL!

Poopin' Momma!

When we got to daycare this morning Jesse was walking around helping Gayle close all the doors. He has such a fetish with doors!

I was talking with a Gayle a few minutes later when I realized Jesse was being WAY too quiet. So I look around the corner and he was pushed up against the wall facing it with his hands on the wall and he was on his tippie toes.

I said "Jesse what are you doing?"
He looked at me and said "Poopin' Momma, poopin!". OMG, How do you not smile at that!
So I said "OK, let me know when you're done.".
He replied, "OK Momma".
A few moments later he says "All done poopin' Momma!" Bless his little heart, he is so cute!

He was so proud of himself! I really need to get this boy a potty chair!

Soda - All done!

This morning Jesse and I were early to daycare so I decided to take him with me to the Bagel store. As usual he ran in yelling "Bagel" and made a beeline for the soda case. Which he promptly opened and repeatedly said "this one" as he pointed to the red labeled Coke bottle.

I said "No Jesse, Momma likes this one" and got out the Coke Zero and then handed it to Jesse. Jesse likes to sit at this one sp0ecial table (it's special to him) and try to open the soda bottle. Then he shakes it up for me (I don't like the carbonation).

Well today was like no other and he sat at his table shaking my soda bottle. After he was done shaking and couldn't open it he says "All done" and decides to throw away my new, unopened, and unpaid for bottle of soda! After dropping it in the trash can he claps, says "YEAH", and was obviously so proud of himself. When he looked at me, I had this look on my face of "OH NO!" and had my hands on my cheeks. He smiled and said "HI!".

How in the world could I possibly be mad at him. He thought what he did was the right thing! And he was so proud of himself!

The ladies at the bagel store were so sweet and let me get another soda. I only had a five and didn't have enough to pay for both sodas and my bagel. I feel really bad and plan to go back tot he bagel store tomorrow to pay for the soda Jesse threw away!

It's my birthday!

YEAH! It's my birthday! I love my birthday. I always have a great day and weekend. This past weekend has been a lot of fun. Shauna and I went to get our nails done and then got pedicures too on Saturday morning, plus she introduced me into some kind of fancy tea at Barista's coffee house. Then Chuck, Jesse and I spent the after together shopping. Mom came over after dinner and we relaxed watching TV. Sunday we all went to Sesame Place with the Willi family. It was a wonderful weekend!

Spring I mean Fall cleaning

Just spent 2 hours cleaning the master bath. I am exhausted! I am in the mood to spring clean (fall clean) the whole house! I wonder if I'll feel this way tomorrow night when I plan to tackle Jesse's bathroom and the spare bedroom. My husband and I started cleaning out the closets of both rooms a few weeks ago to get rid of the clutter and items we haven't used since we moved in. The closets look great! Just need to finish organizing them a little bit and I'll be done! Then on to Jesse's room. Need to finish transitioning his summer clothes to fall clothes and pack everything up.

Weight loss on the move

So I joined a weight loss competition at work and in 6 weeks I have lost 7 1/2 lbs. It's not a huge loss but it's a loss nonetheless. I am very happy about it!

Jesse & the Pediatrician

While waiting in the Pediatrician's office this morning Jesse was trying really hard to figure out how to open the door to leave. It is one of those doors that you push the long handle that goes across the whole door. He came close but didn't seem strong enough to push it open. I was very happy.

While being weighed just kept saying "UP" as he was holding on to this pole with a handle (for the little kids to hang on and not fall off the scale). The nurses were laughing when I told them he though it was a ride. Several of the amusement rides he's been on this year you pull the lever and the ride goes up in the air (like the Dumbo ride).

Jesse is 27 lbs and 33 inches tall. In the 50th percentile for both. His head is 19 inches; also the 50th percentile.

Jesse also learned how to open the trashcan in the doctor's office. In each room there is a trashcan where you hold the lever down with your foot and the can lid opens. At first Jesse was opening the lid with his hands. Well he finally figured out that if you step on the lever the lid opens. He was so shocked when he held onto the sides of the trashcan and stepped on the lever. The lid popped open and he let out such a squeal of laughter. It was so cute!

When I was trying to get his next appt (in 6 months) he darted for the door to the waiting area and thought it was cute that he could see me on the other side through the window. He did this twice as I was waiting to make this appointment. After I finally got the appointment Jesse decides to jump into the secretaries chair and try to schedule his own appointment on the computer! I really hope he didn't delete or change anyone's files!

So we finally made it back to the waiting area where I was trying to put everything in his bag and find the keys when he darts for the front door and gets it open! Oh Man, I guess the running start gave him the extra strength to get the door open. A lady caught him before he let go of the door.

Needless to say if I drank alcohol I would have needed a drink at this point in the day. The sad thing is it was only noon!

1st week without MW

Today ended the first week at work without MW! OMG, was it the most wonderful week. It was so quiet and peaceful! I enjoyed it very much.

Not to mention I also have my own office now, incidentally it is MW's old office. It will take about another week to get it organized and set up the way I want. I am very excited!

Ridiculous...

...I think so!

I'm sitting here looking at the Atkins website while I'm eating chips and cupcakes! Now in my defense the chips are the 100 calorie pack of baked sunchips and the cupcakes are the 100 calorie pack of Hostess Chocolate Cupcakes.

How am I ever goign to lose weight when I can't get my act together!

Someone should just come up behind me and smack me in the back of the head when I do stupid stuff likes this.

SOOOOO Irritated!

I am so irritated! It's almost midnight on Sunday, I have to get up for work at 5 AM and I am WIDE awake! Needless to say I am not a happy camper! The worst part is Mondays are my long day where I work from 6 AM - 5 PM. Tomorrow is going to be the pits!

Was this the last straw?

One of my managers comes around this morning to tell everyone that he will be bringing one of the new manager's from the human factors group around to introduce sometime today.

Of course we all say "OK".

Well he introduced the gentleman to everyone in the office but me.

So the question is should I be insulted? This isn't the first time this has happened here. And quite frankly it is getting really old.

I do believe this is the last straw!

Is this the beginning...

Is this the beginning of Jesse continuing to do something stupid because he's too stubborn to stop?!?!?!?! Well he is a boy!

Last night Jesse was squirting himself in the face with the spritz bottle saying "OUCH!, OUCH!" Each time he squirted himself right in the eye!

I said "Jesse don't do that if it hurts." He responded, "HURTS" and then did it again! LOL, I laughed so hard.

He has to learn sometime right?

Sprained ankle/foot

I was suppose to have Monday off to recoup from my vacation but I decided to go into work for a few hours. As I was leaving work I stepped down (one step) and fell. This is the same walkway I walk down twice a day. I have no idea how I fell but I did.

I went to Urgent Care, which is wonderful by the way, and they took care of me with no problem. I saw the doctor (twice) and had x-rays all in an hour and a half. I was very impressed with the service.

I am now on crutches and have an air splint. The crutches hurt a lot and I am using them sparingly now. I can't have more pain, my foot is giving me enough.

Even with keeping my leg propped up my foot keeps swelling up. I don't feel like these anti-inflammatory pills are working.

Here's to hoping I heal quickly.

Asleep under the coffee table ... how cute!

Chuck had dosed off on the couch while Jesse was playing back on Christmas vacation (January 2009). He panicked when he couldn't find Jesse, but Jesse was just under the coffee table (partially) fast asleep.

Needless to say Chuck hasn't fallen asleep on the couch when he's on baby duty!

This scrapbook page is for two challenges, SCS DGC037 and bouquetofpixels.com July's Scraplift challenge.

To use the clipping mask in fxFoto, first start your scrapbook page. I would recommend you do as much as you can before adding the clipping mask. When you are ready to add the clipping mask simply put it in place like you would with any photo or element. Then drag the photo that you want to use with the clipping mask over the clipping mask and release your mouse. This will merge the two.

I won a scrapbooking challenge

On July 15th I created a digital scrapbook page about my grandmother and her bestfriend Elsie using a scrapbooking challenge on my favorite paper crafting website, splitcoaststampers.com. I just got a notice today that I won "Grandma's Birthday Challenge"!

How exciting!

I am just glad that everyone liked my page.

Are you wearing the dusty socks?

This evening Jesse picked up my black socks (from last night) and put them on the steps for me. When we were going upstairs to get ready for bed Jesse carried his bathing suit and I carried the rest of the dirty clothes (including my socks).

After I got Jesse ready for bed I still had the socks in my hand (I hadn't made it into our bedroom yet) when I walked into Chuck's office and saw how much dust was on one his shelves. I proceeded to use my socks from yesterday to clean off the dusty shelf!

I know, how weird, but whatcha gonna do! At least the shelf is clean now!

Almost two hours later Chuck notices that I am wearing black socks and says to me "Are you wearing the dusty socks?" LOL!

"NO, I'm not!" I replied.

The thought that he really thought that I was wearing dirty socks from yesterday that I dusted his extremely dusty shelf with is pretty bad! Then again dusting a shelf with dirty socks is pretty bad too!

I think we will just say I was having a mommy brain moment and leave it at that!

Newly mopped floor no more

I mopped the first floor on Saturday night and it looks great!

Well....I should say DID look great.

I gave Jesse a juice box this evening after dinner and he was doing fine with it. UNTIL he decided to take out the straw and squeeze the juice box as hard as he could! AHHHHH!

Juice went flying into his face, his hair looked like summer dew on the flowers, and well my newly mopped floor was no more. There is juice all over it! Not to mention the wall and door that was behind him.

I now have to clean the wall, door, his highchair, and the floor after he goes to bed. The fun part was that Jesse cried when the juice splash him in the face. He had a distinct look of startlement! (ooh, is that a word?!?!?!?)

Aaaaahhhh, motherhood, it's wonderful! =)

Day Care Today

This morning at daycare Betty (one of Jesse's teachers) went into the 4 year old room to get something, what she didn't know is Jesse had followed her into the room and was standing off to the side when she left the room.

A little while later she sees that the door is closed and when she tries to open the door it is locked!

A parent says "there's a little boy playing in there". Betty went into the room (from the other door) and says "Jesse!", he just looks at her and smiles!

He is so sneaky, very very sneaky! (please imagine an Asian accent)

Later in the day Jesse got timeout for throwing toys! UGH! He is being so bad lately.

Can anyone say "tired"!

I am so tired today. I was doing pretty good this morning, but by 11 AM I was ready for a nap. I gotta say sometimes I feel like I am 85 years old instead of getting ready to turn 35.

It was a long and fun weekend but trying to go back to work on Monday kills me sometimes. I plan to hit the sack early, hopefully!

Mooore Cancake?

Jesse is absolutely in love with blueberry pancakes. One morning a weekend I make blueberry pancakes, which lasts atleast five mornings for Jesse's breakfast. He gobbles these things up!

Last Sunday he had five pancakes! And these aren't silver dollar pancakes, they are normal size like you get in the diner. Chuck only ate four!

Yesterday after I had already given him two pancakes for breakfast he asks for more.. "Mooore Cancakes, Mooore?" So I give him another pancake and after that is gone in a hot two seconds I here.... "Moore Cancakes, Moore....Peeeeese".

It was so dam cute! This little boy just melts my heart!

CHALLENGE!

I FINALLY got to do some digital scrapbooking tonight! I am so excited. I saw a post for one of the digital scrapbooking challenges on splitcoaststampers and had to do it!

Here's Jesse playing with a surf board at his last photo session at Picture People. This is the day we got Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Family photos done!

Splitcoaststampers.com Challenge: DGC036
Digital Scrapbooking Software: fxfoto
Digital Scrapbooking Kit: Snails and Whales found on ScrapGirls

The challenge was to create a page using (1) at least 3 summery papers; (2) use at least 4 elements; (3) use pre-made (purchsed or freebie) alphas for your title (rather than just using a font – fonts are fine for your journaling this time.) Oh, and one more –– (4) add some texture to at least one non-textured paper.

I did distressing to the red paper in the middle. I also made the background on each of Jesse's picture transparent, it turned out pretty neat because it looks like he's standing on sand in two of the pictures.

Jesse Bown or Cindy Brady

Tonight during Jesse's bath time I hear Chuck say "Baby talk baby talk it's a wonder you can walk".

And I hear Jesse just babbling on and on at Chuck. I laughed so hard and went into the bathroom and said to Chuck "OMG! He's not Cindy Brady!"

I couldn't tell if Chuck was slightly embarrassed or not. He is always quoting the Brady Bunch! LOL!

Eyeballs!

When I went to pick up Jesse yesterday afternoon they were watching some show that was teaching body parts with English, Spanish, and I think French. It was a pretty cute show. They showed a picture of Eyes and then said “Eyeballs”, Jesse says well yells “Eyeballs!”. Then he laughs and claps his hands. So funny!

Gayle............

When Jesse went into daycare this morning, he yelled for Gayle.

Jesse was in time out today and he yelled as loud as he could for Gayle. Mary and Melody (his teachers) said he kept yelling "Gayle....Gayle....Gayle". As if she was going to come help him and get him out of the crib.

Chuck's Dad

Chuck's dad fell on Monday, May 25th and has been in coma ever since. We are all hoping that he comes out of the coma soon. Praying for the best........

Mt. Dew

Last night Chuck was wearing his Mt. Dew pajama pants and Jesse was pointing at them saying "this", "this". So Chuck says "Mountain Dew", and Jesse repeated “Mountain Dew”. Clear as can be. We were shocked. It was really sweet and Chuck was very happy.

Jesse said Grandmom today!

Today Chuck, Jesse, and I took Chuck's mom out to lunch to Chili's for Mother's Day. We had a great time. Jesse was drinking milk out of a regular cup and was so proud of himself. He was having a blast with it. Then we went to the mall. After we dropped Chuck and his mom off at the door, Jesse cried!

After parking I said "Let's go get Daddy and Grandmom.". He said "Daddy" and then looked at me. So I said "And Grandmom", then again "Grandmom". So he said "Grandmom"; of course it came out more as "Gamom" but he said it! So the whole way walking into the mall he said "Gamom, Gamom". And then wouldn't say it again.

Jesse ended up having two time outs in the mall. What fun that was!

Then we all went to Wal-Mart. Again Jesse cried when his Gamom got out of the van at the front door. Once we were inside he was fine. Grandmom bought Jesse some hotwheels, which he absolutely loves! Here he is sitting on the Chez (sp?) lounge playing with his hotwheels with no shirt on. He was saying "cars" as Chuck took the picture.

Jesse vs the Catepillar

Leave it to my kid! This is the third time in two months that I have wanted to take Jesse to get his pictures taken and now he has another bruise. Daycare just called to say Jesse had a collision with the giant catepillar(sp?) in the play area! He is such a rough and tumble boy!
